Before we consciously decide how we feel, the brain is already monitoring breathing, posture, pressure, tension, heartbeat and internal sensation.
I think of this as the body dashboard. Slow movement and careful attention may change the signals appearing on that dashboard—and therefore change how movement, effort and mood are experienced.
